For over 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan (Bigs) has developed and supported one-to-one mentoring relationships for more than 17,000 children, changing outcomes one child at a time. Through our commitment to quality and innovation, our team develops, nurtures, supervises, and sustains caring and supportive, life-changing relationships between adult mentors (Bigs) and youth (Littles).
FINANCIAL COORDINATOR
We are seeking an individual with a robust background in financial operations, particularly in managing accounts payable and receivable. An ideal candidate would not only have extensive experience with QuickBooks and donor software but also possess strong analytical skills for data analysis and navigating annual audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize QuickBooks Online to prepare accounts payable for review and payment processing and maintain accounts receivable ensuring daily processing.
- Ensure timely and efficient donor acknowledgments.
- Manage the CRM database, generating reports, analyzing data and preparing necessary mailings.
- Coordinate financial activities with the accountant and CEO, assisting with the annual audit.
- Execute tasks related to fundraising events, including reconciliation of transactions, recordkeeping and acknowledgments
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of 3+ years of financial administrative experience. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online and Salesforce is essential. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check, reference checks, and a driving record check.

COMPENSATION
This is a part-time position is approximately 15-20 hours a week with an hourly wage of $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or in the office. Bigs provides a suite of benefits to our team, including:
- Generous accrued paid time off
- 6 to 12 holidays prorated each year
