Grand Traverse Radiologists, PC was founded by Harry Weitz, MD who came to Northern Michigan in 1938 as the first practicing radiologist in the region. Formally incorporating in August 1968, the group continues to grow in numbers, offering subspecialty trained radiologists using the latest in imaging technology and techniques. GTR puts patient care needs first, supports life-long learning through ongoing professional education, obtaining specialized training and certifications, and educating others on new and changing uses of technology and techniques for optimal patient care. GTR strives to provide state-of-the-art comprehensive imaging services that meet each patient’s needs that are high quality, decisive, and prompt. Our radiologists treat everyone courteously with professional excellence, compassion, and respect. We strive to recruit experts to meet the needs of the communities served.
