About Us

North Sky Raptor Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit bird of prey (hawks, eagles, falcons, owls, vultures, osprey, kites, harriers) rehabilitation center established in 2018, and located in Grand Traverse County, Michigan, with an area of impact that reaches all of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Alongside our efforts to rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned raptors, N.S.R.S. places a strong focus on wildlife education, research, and increasing the overall public awareness of wildlife, ecology, and habitat topics as they relate to raptors and other threatened and endangered migratory birds. We achieve both of these missions through research partnerships, continuing education, skill sharing/development of prospective future rehabilitators, and an abundance of educational programming (most featuring our live educational ambassador raptors) in both public and private settings. N.S.R.S. receives no funding at the state or federal level to do this, and operates solely on public donations and charitable grants to achieve these missions.
