Each fall, Traverse Connect presents the Economic Outlook Summit to highlight trends, speak to issues affecting the economy, and garner wisdom from economic experts to look ahead at the emerging business climate. This year, we are excited to expand this day to include networking, economic outlook discussions, a business showcase, and talent recruiting workshop.

Quick Connect:
9:00 - 11:00 AM (reg. opens at 8:30)

Start the day connecting and networking with businesses across the Grand Traverse Region! New this year, Quick Connect is incorporating intentional B2B networking, encouraging movement over the course of two hours. Make new connections with business and community leaders to help build your network. This event is open exclusively to Traverse Connect investors/members for $35 per ticket. 

Economic Outlook Luncheon:
11:45 AM - 1:30 PM (reg. opens at 10:30)

Our traditional longstanding program is back by popular demand, bigger and better than ever! We are very excited to bring back Jeff Korzenik, Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist with Fifth Third Management Group, to provide economic insight from a national and state level. We will also have a panel discussion to focus more specifically on the Grand Traverse Region. Our panel will feature industry experts in the manufacturing, technology, and creative industries. Traverse Connect investors/members have the option to purchase reserved tables of eight for $500 or individual tickets for $40 each. Non-Investors/members can purchase individual tickets for $65. We are also honored to have Fifth Third Bank back as our Presenting Sponsor for the luncheon.

Jeff Korzenik | Managing Director, Chief Investment Strategist Fifth Third Investment Management Group Jeff Korzenik is Chief Investment Strategist for Fifth Third Bank, where he is responsible for the Bank's overall client investment strategy. For more than 30 years, Jeff has been recognized for his insight into the relationship between economics, markets, and social trends. A regular guest on CNBC's Squawk Box, Bloomberg, and Fox Business, Jeff's writings on economics and public policy have been published in Barron's, Forbes, The Chicago Tribune, and other periodicals. He has been quoted in publications including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He was recently elected a Member of the Council on Criminal Justice for his work on the intersection of the justice system and the labor markets. Jeff's forthcoming book, UNTAPPED TALENT: How Second Chance Hiring Works for Your Business and the Community, shares the business case and best practices for hiring people with criminal records and will be published by HarperCollins Leadership in early 2021. Jeff was invited to testify on Capitol Hill as an expert witness on the use of commodity indexes by pensions and other institutional investors.

Business Showcase & Buying a Table
10:30 AM - 2:30 PM
(Set up from 8:00 - 10 AM)

In addition to the luncheon this year, we will also be including a Business Showcase in the exhibition hall leading into the Economic Outlook Luncheon. Open exclusively to Economic Outlook Summit attendees, the Business Showcase will highlight 20 businesses and will replace our traditional Business Expo. The Business Showcase will be a great opportunity for businesses within the Grand Traverse Region to highlight who they are and what they do. Booths for the Business Showcase are open to Traverse Connect Investors/Members only for $350. 

The showcase includes one six-foot table with black drape and 2 chairs. If you are interested in hosting a booth at both North Coast Homecoming as well as our Business Showcase, please contact Molly MacGirr to gain access to a discounted rate of $250 per booth.

Recruiting Talent to Michigan's Creative Coast Workshop

We recognize that recruiting and retaining talent has become a top priority across all industries in the Grand Traverse Region. Therefore, this year we are offering a talent recruiting workshop to end the day. Learn the best tips to win over the top qualified candidates against your competitors as well as new strategies to attract and keep top talent. Traverse Connect investors/members can purchase tickets for $35 each. Non-Traverse Connect Investors/Members can purchase tickets for $50 each.
