Description
Traverse Connect & The Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance Present discussions for Human Resources around changing requirements for worker and customer safety with Janis Adams, partner, and owner of Danbrook Adams Raymond PLC and Rob Hanel, Manager of People and Space at TentCraft.
Janis L. Adams is a partner and owner of Danbrook Adams Raymond PLC, specializing in employment and labor law and litigation. She represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, advice and counseling, including COVID-19 matters. She represents employers in the development and implementation of management practices to avoid employee-related liability, and regularly conducts harassment training in the workplace. Janis serves as a member of the board of directors for Traverse Connect, and for Habitat for Humanity-Grand Traverse Region.
Rob Hanel is the Manager of People and Space at TentCraft in Traverse City. Rob is Traverse City native who boomeranged back to the area after spending nearly a decade working in Utah, Oregon, and California. Rob built his career in Human Resources in the Outdoor industry with a focus on recruitment, retention, and engagement where he had the opportunity to work for some of the most prominent specialty retailers on the planet, organizations like Backcountry.com, TheClymb.com, and Tillys.com. As the head of RR and Facilities, Rob works with the Senior Leadership Team at TentCraft where they have been managing and strategizing an organizational pivot from the Marketing and Event space, to a whole new line of products supporting the fight against COVID-19. As an essential manufacturer of medical emergency equipment, TentCraft has been navigating the challenges of managing an on-site employee base throughout the COVID-19 crisis, and like every organization, continue to navigate new waters and prepare for what the future may bring with the best attitude possible.
