There is a demographic shift occurring in Northern Michigan as the older adult population is growing at an unprecedented rate. Four panelists will explore innovative solutions and strategies focusing on extending the health span. Gain insights into the future of aging trends and consider the implications and potential for enhancing rural health and prosperity in Northern Michigan. Hear from business, healthcare, technology, and public sector community leaders who are leaning in and maximizing the positive net returns of healthy and active aging. This session will shift mindsets and spotlight innovative designs for building longevity-ready solutions.
A collaborative partnership consisting of Beacon Hill at Eastgate, Seamless Ventures, Urbaneer and Northwestern Michigan College will present a prototype showcasing the integration of smart technology into an age-friendly living environment.
During Northwest Michigan Start Up Week on April 25th Beacon Hill Living will present a prototype showcasing the integration of smart technology into an age-friendly living environment. The prototype will feature a combination of advanced technology with adaptable floor plans designed to cater specifically to the evolving needs of aging residents to seamlessly support and enhance the well-being of their residents. The prototype shown will consist of vignettes of three living spaces: bathroom, living space and bedroom.
