Skyline & Shoreline: West Bay Aerial Mobility Showcase

Join us to see the future of aerial innovation in action during a live demonstration of advanced aerial mobility technologies operating over the waters of West Bay. The Skyline & Shoreline: West Bay Aerial Mobility Showcase will highlight the real-world capabilities of drone technologies—also known as uncrewed aerial systems (UAS)—for public safety, environmental monitoring, and geospatial data collection. 

This live demonstration event is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 12:00PM and will feature three dynamic flight missions conducted by key partners in Michigan’s growing aerial mobility ecosystem.

Northwestern Michigan College, Discovery Pier, blueflite, the U.S. Coast Guard, AirMatrix, Frontier Precision, Michigan Department of Transportation, and the Michigan Office of Future Mobility & Electrification.  

Opening remarks from industry and state leaders will take place at 9:30 AM, followed by drone and helicopter operations beginning at 10:00 AM.  

This event is made possible thanks to the support of the Advanced Aerial Mobility Activation (AAM) Fund. The AAM Fund is a collaborative effort between the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) which aims to increase coordination across State entities and create a centralized pipeline of projects that can accelerate AAM readiness and growth in the state.
