A graduate of Suttons Bay High School, Max holds an Associate’s Degree from Northwestern Michigan College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan University. He serves as the Vice-Chair of the Paradise Township Planning Commission, Chair of the Village of Kingsley Downtown Development Authority, and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority. He also serves on the Executive Board of the President Ford Field Service Council for the Boy Scouts of America and is active with the Traverse City Rotary Club and Free Masonry. He is a proud graduate of the fall 2016 Leadership Grand Traverse class.

Our compassionate & creative team provides programming to nearly 6,000 learners a year. From courses in entrepreneurship, to leadership, to cookie decorating with your kids - we offer a wide variety of fun and inspiring learning opportunities. In the past year, we have doubled down our efforts to grow a Workforce & Professional Development program that includes an array of opportunities from customized staff retreats, to certificate programs, to noncredit NMC college courses with first class NMC instructors, and much more.
