Position Summary:
Interlochen is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Admission Coordinator to play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Admission Office. The successful candidate will represent the office as the warm, friendly, and helpful face of our front desk, setting a positive tone for everyone who walks through the door. The Admission Office Coordinator will provide excellent customer service to students and families via in-person, phone, and email communication.
In this role, the Admission Coordinator will support recruitment and enrollment for both Interlochen Arts Camp and Interlochen Arts Academy in various ways, including support for recruitment travel and events, answering application questions, and managing the department’s inventory of promotional collateral.
The Admission Coordinator will also oversee an application load for Interlochen Arts Camp. This aspect of the position will require the successful candidate to connect with their prospective students to help complete a Camp application, review candidates for an admission decision, and enroll accepted students within their caseload. This role will help support the team in reaching institutional enrollment goals and targets for Arts Camp.

Essential Duties:
Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective students and families, answering inquiries and providing guidance on admission policies and procedures.
Coordinate, staff, and support on and off-campus events.
Coordinate admission calendar.
Monitor office and recruitment collateral and maintain inventory of supplies.
Manage calendar for VP of Enrollment Management and Marketing
Manage monthly expense report for VP of Enrollment Management and Marketing
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that events, admission deadlines, and other pertinent information are accessible to targeted populations.
Engage with alumni and parent ambassadors.
Seek the best use of materials, equipment, and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Comply with Interlochen policies and procedures and act as a good steward of Interlochen finances.
Uphold and support the values and mission of the organization.
Prioritize duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive internal and external stakeholder contact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in related field.
Experience:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Experience in customer service and/or hospitality preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and/or responsibilities simultaneously.
Professional experience in education or non-profit organizations preferred.
Passion for the arts and a background in arts education a plus.
Equipment Familiarity:
Mac Laptop, Google Suite, Salesforce a plus
Certifications, Licenses or Special Training:
Must meet and maintain background screening requirements as detailed in policy 12.HR.01 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the eligibility requirements of ICA’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
