The Women's Resource Center (WRC) is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven professional to lead and grow our volunteer program in the Grand Traverse area.

As Volunteer Coordinator, you will serve as the driving force behind WRC's volunteer program.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting, screening, and onboarding volunteers
- Organizing and supervising volunteer activities and projects
- Coordinating all aspects of WRC's Holiday Needs Program
- Matching volunteers with opportunities that fit their skills and interests
- Developing strategies to strengthen and expand volunteer engagement
- Planning, coordinating, and facilitating volunteer training programs
- Leading volunteer recognition and appreciation initiatives
- Maintaining volunteer records and data management systems
- Creating volunteer position descriptions and project opportunities
- Collaborating with program leaders to identify volunteer needs
- Partnering with the Fund Development team on community outreach, events, and volunteer storytelling
- Representing WRC through community presentations, outreach events, and public speaking opportunities
- Building strong relationships with community partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of experience coordinating or managing volunteers within a nonprofit organization
- Demonstrated experience building relationships with diverse community stakeholders
- Experience planning and facilitating trainings, events, or volunteer programs
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Experience working collaboratively with staff, volunteers, donors, community leaders, and board members
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience using digital communication and marketing platforms such as Constant Contact or similar systems
- Ability to maintain accurate records, databases, and volunteer information systems
- Ability to complete all required Women's Resource Center training programs
- Successful completion of required background checks
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout surrounding counties as needed
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend events
This position is an hourly, full-time, non-exempt position. Travel is required as needed to surrounding counties and the work schedule is flexible, based upon normal daytime business hours. Occasional evenings and weekend work may occur. This position is under direct supervision of the Director of Advocacy. Salary range $27 - $32 an hour.
