About the Role
Accelerate the Care is looking for an event lead with high horsepower, deep empathy, and the organizational skills to keep a caravan moving in the right direction.
Our annual Drive to Remember brings automotive enthusiasts, families, caregivers, and community supporters together to raise awareness and support for local Alzheimer’s and dementia care. As the Lead Navigator, you will sit in the driver's seat of our flagship event—managing logistics, coordinating routes, engaging volunteers, and ensuring every participant has a memorable, seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

Steer Event Logistics: Coordinate the start/finish venues, staging areas, parking layouts, and registration flow to keep the event running smoothly.

Map the Experience: Collaborate with local law enforcement, scenic route planners, and venue hosts to finalize rally routes and pit stops.

Fuel Community Engagement: Work alongside our team to engage sponsors, vendors, and participants to maximize turnout and fundraising impact.

Rally the Pit Crew: Delegate tasks to on-day volunteers, ensuring everyone knows their post (from check-in desks to parking marshals).

Keep Safety in the Passing Lane: Ensure all safety protocols, route waivers, and emergency plans are communicated and enforced.
What We Are Looking For

The Pit Boss Personality: Organized, calm under pressure, and capable of managing moving parts (literally and figuratively).

Community Connector: Comfortable speaking to local business owners, classic car owners, and families affected by memory loss.

Event or Project Management Experience: Prior experience organizing runs, walks, car shows, or community fundraisers is a huge plus.

Heart for the Mission: A genuine passion for supporting caregivers and individuals impacted by Alzheimer’s and related dementias in our region.
