Artisan, the flagship restaurant at Delamar Traverse City, is seeking an exceptional Beverage Director to lead our beverage program while serving as a senior front-of-house leader within the dining room.
This is not a traditional bar role. This position is designed for a leader who thrives both behind the bar and on the dining room floor. You will act as Manager on Duty, leading service, owning the guest experience, and holding the team accountable to elevated, Forbes-level standards.
We are looking for an A-player — someone who commands the floor, builds culture, drives revenue, and elevates every touchpoint of the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Dining Room Leadership
- Act as Manager on Duty in absence of the Restaurant Manager
- Lead all front-of-house operations with a strong floor presence
- Drive real-time coaching and accountability during service
- Own guest experience, service recovery, and VIP engagement
- Implement and uphold Forbes-level service standards
Beverage Program Leadership:
- Own and evolve the wine, cocktail, and bar program
- Develop seasonal and signature offerings aligned with the brand
- Maintain strong wine knowledge and lead staff education
- Manage inventory, cost controls, and vendor relationships
- Train and mentor, the bar team to a high standard
Operational Leadership:
- Support banquet and event execution with consistency
- Collaborate with culinary, sales, and hotel leadership
- Help implement systems, policies, and training programs
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all FOH areas
Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years in restaurant management, dining room, or beverage leadership
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and upscale service
- Proven ability to lead teams on the floor and drive performance
- Experience in luxury, boutique hotel, or high-end restaurant environments preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on, service-driven mindset — leads by example
