Position Summary
Traverse City Country Club is seeking dependable, safety-focused Lifeguards for immediate seasonal employment at our pool.
This is a short-term opportunity running from August 14 through September 21, 2026, ideal for certified lifeguards looking to earn excellent hourly pay during the final weeks of summer.
Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional pool environment for Country Club members, families, and guests.
Compensation
- $24.00 per hour
- Up to a $600 completion bonus for eligible employees who remain available and work through September 21, 2026
- Part-time seasonal schedule
- Maintain active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas
- Enforce pool rules consistently and professionally
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies
- Perform water rescues, CPR, first aid, and other emergency procedures when necessary
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly pool deck
- Provide friendly and professional service to members and guests
- Communicate safety concerns promptly to supervisors
- Complete opening, closing, and other assigned pool duties
- Work cooperatively with other lifeguards and Country Club staff
- Current lifeguard certification required
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
- Strong swimming and rescue skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout assigned shifts
- Dependable and punctual
- Professional and courteous with members, guests, and coworkers
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Availability during the August 14 – September 21 employment period is strongly preferred
This is a part-time, seasonal position beginning immediately and continuing through September 21, 2026.
