About Us

As a full-service credit union, MSUFCU is a not-for-profit organization that exists to serve its members. Like other financial institutions, the Credit Union accepts deposits, makes loans, and provides a wide array of other financial services. But as a member-owned and cooperative institution, MSUFCU is controlled by members who use its services. Each member’s vote counts. A volunteer board of directors is elected by members to manage the Credit Union.

Founded in 1937, MSUFCU now serves nearly 300,000 members worldwide and has assets of more than $4.8 billion. We are the third-largest credit union in Michigan and the 47th largest in the United States.
