Celebrate the Longest Day of the Year at Mt. Holiday’s Summer Solstice Sunset Slip-n-Slide Party
Traverse City, MI – Mt. Holiday invites the community to soak up every second of daylight at its Summer Solstice Sunset Slip-n-Slide Party on Saturday, June 20, 2026 — a one-night-only event combining family fun, live music, sunset views, and summer adventure.
The evening kicks off at 5 PM with a giant 180-foot Slip-n-Slide running until 8 PM, perfect for kids and kids-at-heart. A $20 suggested donation per participant supports Mt. Holiday’s nonprofit mission and year-round outdoor programming.
At the same time, the beer garden and deck will transform into a high-energy summer party featuring live music from Headwaters Band. Music runs until 9 PM, with the beer garden open late until 10 PM, so guests can enjoy the final glow of the longest day of the year.
Guests can also make the most of the summer solstice by reserving a ride on Mt. Holiday’s zip line course before the evening festivities begins. Zip line reservations are currently available for just $30 per rider — half the regular $60 rate offered in previous years! Availability is limited, and advance reservations are strongly encouraged as popular summer weekend time slots continue to fill quickly.

Holiday. “The Summer Solstice Party is a fun way for families, friends, and the community to celebrate Northern Michigan summers — with music, outdoor adventure, and an incredible sunset view.”
The Summer Solstice Party is part of Mt. Holiday’s Sounds In The Garden live music series and reflects the nonprofit’s continued commitment to expanding year-round programming and community events.
Guests are encouraged to bring towels, lawn chairs, friends, and their kids & doggos for an unforgettable kickoff to summer!
