Mt. Holiday is Launching a New Thursday Night Trail Running Series for Summer 2026

Traverse City, MI – Mt. Holiday is inviting the Northern Michigan community to hit the trails this summer with the launch of its brand-new Thursday Night Trail Running Series, beginning June 18, 2026.

The weekly series will take place every Thursday evening throughout the summer, featuring a rotating 5K trail course across Mt. Holiday’s scenic property. Whether participants are competitive runners chasing a podium finish, casual walkers looking for an evening adventure, or dog owners wanting to hit the trails with their pup, the series is designed to welcome all experience levels.

Each race begins at 6:00 PM sharp, with hikers, walkers, and dogs encouraged to participate. After the race, participants can head to the T-Bar for food, drinks, live music, and community hangouts as part of the weekly summer atmosphere.

Individual races are $10 each, while participants who register early for the full 10-race series can lock in discounted pricing at just $80 total.

Hill Champion Members receive free race entry every week, one complimentary tap beverage after each race, and additional perks for Black and Double Black Members, including two free tacos weekly.

Every Thursday night will also feature giveaways, swag, and post-race community fun. At the end of the series, Mt. Holiday will recognize the Top 3 Overall Male Finishers, Top 3 Overall Female Finishers, and the Overall Top Dog & Owner Running Duo.

It’s about community, getting outside, enjoying Northern Michigan evenings, and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere for everyone whether they’re racing, walking, or simply coming to hang out afterward at the T-Bar.”

The Thursday Night Trail Running Series reflects Mt. Holiday’s continued investment in year-round outdoor recreation and community-focused programming.
