Copper Ridge Surgery Center (CRSC) was selected by Newsweek as one of the Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Michigan.
 
There are over 6,000 Medicare-Certified Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the United States and Statista Inc. partnered with Newsweek to analyze the data for this award based on the 25 states with the highest number of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC’s).
 
This year’s ranking highlights 700 leading ASCs across the country, evaluated through a rigorous scoring model based on four pillars: quality metrics, peer recommendations, patient experience, and accreditations. The 2026 edition introduces several updates. First, the integration of Medicare Fee-for-Service claims. Second, the addition of accreditations from The Joint Commission and the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. Third, the inclusion of new measures from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Additionally, the number of standout specialties was expanded, and previous-year peer recommendation data was used to strengthen continuity.
 
The 2026 ranking considered ASC quality data and surveys from ASC nurses, other healthcare professionals, physicians, surgeons, and administrators. Twelve ASC’s in Michigan were considered for this award. Copper Ridge Surgery Center was the only ASC in northern Michigan to earn one of the top coveted designations in the state for the last several years.
