Traverse City, Michigan – May 22, 2025 – With more than 25 years of experience in Heating Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) and facilities operations, Ed Belanger has accepted the position of Facilities Manager at Copper Ridge Surgery Center.

Belanger most recently served as Director of Facilities and Plant Operations at Munson Medical Center. There he led a 40-person team responsible for the daily operations of more than 1.7 million square feet in a 442-bed hospital. His leadership focused on maintaining critical safety and compliance standards while fostering a work environment that supports employee growth and success.

He began his career at Munson as a certified healthcare mechanic and advanced through roles in building automation and energy management before moving into leadership positions. His professional background includes time with Johnson Controls and Trane West Michigan, where he worked on DDC programming, system startups, and customer training.
Belanger holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University, a Bachelor’s in HVACR Engineering Technology, and an Associate’s in HVACR Technology from Ferris State University.
