This past week, Significant Strikes Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu & MMA employees took a tour of the Coast Guard Air Station in Traverse City. They learned about what the base accommodates, how each department runs and what their jobs entail. 

Coach K says "A number of Coast Guard employees take advantage of our Unlimited Active Duty membership ($50/mo) so we were really excited to see what roles they have at the base." 

Traverse City Coast Guard base covers all of Northern Michigan as well as the Upper Peninsula & Great Lakes. They specialize in search & rescue (SAR) operations and SAR training, but carry out all different types of specialty missions.
