Harbor Springs, MI – Walstrom Marine is pleased to announce that Jeremy Anderson will be joining Walstrom Marine as its new President on October 6.

Jeremy most recently served as General Manager for Big Thunder Marine in the Lake of the Ozarks. Under 8 years of leadership by Jeremy, Big Thunder through acquisition and organic growth became the leading dealer in the Lake of the Ozarks with additional locations in Florida. Prior to Big Thunder, Jeremy worked at several dealers in Wisconsin, including serving as the Sales Manager at Gage Marine on Lake Geneva. He is a lifelong boater and loves getting out on the water with family and friends when the opportunity presents itself.

“We are really excited to have Jeremy join our team,” said Mike Cazer, Walstrom Marine’s Board Chair. “In our discussions, it was clear that not only did Jeremy have the operating and leadership experience we were looking for, but more importantly he shares our vision for Walstrom Marine and our values.”

As earlier announced, Tom Ervin, having served nearly 9 years as Walstrom Marine’s current President, is stepping back but will remain with the company as a strategic advisor.

Cazer continued, “We are so grateful for Tom’s service and that he will remain with us to support the transition and advise us in our next chapter of growth under Jeremy’s leadership.”

Walstrom Marine was founded by Ward Walstrom Sr. and Paul Griffeth when they acquired Melching Garage and Boat Works in 1946. In the last 79 years, Walstrom Marine has grown to become the leading boat dealer in Northern Michigan, with five dealership locations, marinas in Harbor Springs and Algonac, and storage and service facilities in Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Traverse City and Cheboygan.
