 Interlochen presents 2026 Run for the Arts 5K race

Open to all runners and featuring live music and art installations, this family-friendly event will take place on Interlochen’s scenic campus May 2, 2026.
 

INTERLOCHEN, Mich.—Interlochen is once again hosting the Run for the Arts 5K, a family-friendly run/walk for runners of all ages in the greater Grand Traverse, surrounding communities, and beyond. The event will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. ET at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Participants will travel along a scenic course featuring both paved and unpaved trails, weaving through the beautiful Interlochen campus and along Green Lake and Duck Lake. The event will include live music and art installations along the route, creating an immersive arts-meets-athletics experience. 

Cost to register is $35 in advance or $40 on race day. All proceeds from the event will directly support student scholarships, meaning that each participant will contribute to fostering young artistic talent. The event includes age-group awards, professional race timing with ChronoTrack technology, and posted results. Packet pickup begins at 7:30 a.m., and the race kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with awards to follow. All participants will receive a Run for the Arts t-shirt.
