Munson Healthcare Announces New President of Munson Physician Network

Traverse City, MI – Munson Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Frye, MD, FACEP, as the new President of Munson Physician Network, effective June 11, 2025. Dr. Frye will oversee clinical and operational performance across all Munson Healthcare outpatient clinics.

His ability to drive and build culture, his passion for developing clinician leaders, and his talent for executing plans and driving results make him the perfect fit for this role,” said Laura Glenn, Chief Operating Officer for Munson Healthcare.

Dr. Frye possesses extensive leadership experience. Since 2012, Dr. Frye has managed physicians and large teams in his role as Senior Vice President and Group Medical Officer at SCP Health. Prior to that, he served as Regional Director at ECI Healthcare Partners. He brings a strong background in financial and operational leadership from positions at Emergency Medicine Physicians and Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates.

Dr. Frye completed his residency and internship in Emergency Medicine at Michigan State University Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies, where he also served as Chief Resident. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Frye has a deep love for Northern Michigan and has owned a vacation home on Torch Lake for years. He is looking forward to calling Northern Michigan home.
