Century Secures 7-Year, $46 million contract with Bell Flight

Traverse City manufacturer will produce main rotor shafts for
Bell line of civil helicopters

Traverse City, MI, March 26, 2025 Century, a Traverse City based group of three manufacturing companies, Century Specialties, Century Sun, and Clark Manufacturing, today announced they have secured a long-term contract with Bell Flight to produce critical aerospace components.

Bell Flight, a Texas-based aerospace company, produces a wide variety of helicopter and tilt-rotor aircraft. According to Bell’s website, these include several light civil helicopters supporting a variety of missions, including public safety, training, medical, as well as corporate and personal transportation.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to continue our long-time support of Bell and the production of main rotor shafts for their fleet of light civil rotorcraft.” said Tim Healy, the President of Century.

Long-Term Contracts Lead to a Stable Supply Chains

Since Covid, a large number of aerospace and other special process supply chain providers have struggled with on again, off again production volumes.  Long-term contracts, such as this one, will allow Century to conduct long-term planning, secure raw materials, and other special process suppliers which will strengthen their and ultimately Bell’s supply chain.

According to Healy, “these are flight safety critical parts of the helicopter drive train. We are thrilled with the business opportunity, but even more excited about the trust that Bell continues to have in us to produce such advanced and important components.”
