Kids Coalition Against Hunger, Traverse City Kiwanis Clubs and Kiwanis Family Members Unite to Combat Child Hunger

Kids Coalition Against Hunger is an international coalition of humanitarian organizations dedicated to significantly reducing child hunger in the USA and worldwide.

This year's meal prep will take place on Saturday, February 1st, at 9:00 AM at Traverse City Central High School on Eastern Avenue in Traverse City, with the goal of packing over 20,000 meals during the event.

For the past 18 years, the collective efforts of the Traverse City Kiwanis Club and their Kiwanis Family Members, including Key Clubs from Traverse City Central HS, Traverse City West HS, Traverse City St. Francis, have resulted in the packaging of food for over 297,000 people.

Mike Maasberg, Chair of Kids Coalition Against Hunger, expressed gratitude for the unwavering commitment of the Traverse City Kiwanis Clubs and their affiliated groups. "It's heartening to witness the compassion and dedication of our community members, especially the young volunteers who actively contribute to alleviating hunger on a global scale. Of the meals packed, over one-third will be shared locally with the Father Fred Food Drive."

Traverse City Kiwanis Clubs are part of a global organization committed to serving the needs of children. Their collaborative efforts with various Kiwanis Family Members contribute to community welfare and make a positive difference in the lives of children and families.
