As your local family owned bakery, we have been baking for our community since 1929.

We are a 4th generation full line bakery.

In 1929 Norman and Julia Potter opened the first location in downtown Traverse City. Shortly after opening they had to close up shop due to the sugar rations and then later reopened. They ran the shop with a handful of employees until Norman partnered with his son Jerry, Mike’s Dad, who owned and ran the bakery into the 50’s when Jerry bought his Dad out and ran the business solo. In 1984 Mike and Kathy decided to keep the tradition alive and ran the business until January of 2024.
Now their middle daughter Becky and her husband Bill are running the business They are full of ideas and are excited to see what lies ahead in the future!
